- People say 'apologies' or 'my apologies' when they aren't actually sorry.

- More people smoke here than they do back home; it's more accepted.

- The uni students here all seem older than me. I can't find any other 19 year olds.
- English people say 'Alright' or 'You alright?' instead of 'How are you?' and generally people don't answer the question, just respond with 'Hi' or say 'Alright' back.
