Traveler's Cookbook Intro

I am so sick of all these gross tartar sauces. Who adds Parmesan to the sauce? Technically that one is a salad dressing, but it's still gross. You add cheese to the meal later, if you want--not in the sauce. Ergh. For a while I have wanted to make a decent mayo and tartar sauce. It's easy to do both; the mayo is the base and you just add stuff to it for tartar. It's really simple, only a few ingredients and steps.

Over the next few weeks, I will be creating a Traveler's Cookbook, which is basically me finding easy, cheap, healthy and DELICIOUS recipes, trying them out, then passing them onto you. Mainly this is so that I can remember yummy ways to eat healthy on a tight budget, but hopefully some of you will find some of the recipes useful.

I may divert from cheapside a bit. Dad made the best Chocolate and Pecan Cake today. It's not overly cheap, but some recipes are too good to keep to yourself.

Stay tuned, folks.
