How Many Hugs?

I've worked out that I've been here 40 days. That's 40 days without hugs. If we want 12 hugs a day for growth, that's 12x40=480 hugs. And if I hug everyone twice, that's 240. Wow. 240 hugs. That's a lot. Reckon I can do it?

What I could do is do my hug and hug back thing, but also do the other idea, so buy a bag of small bears and give them out, and just add, say, ten hugs per bear. That's a complete unjustified guess; it might be more and it might be less.

That's why I thought the bear would be a good idea. If there's something tangible there they're more likely to do it. And no one throws a bear in the bin (except in Arnold's case).

The bear thing probably can't be documented because that would mean other people would have to record and upload a video, and people won't be bothered to do that, but also it'll take away some of the spontaneity of the activity. And we don't want to limit the hugs to people with iPhones or recording devices.

So that you can see evidence, though, I will record my hugs. And tally them as I go.

The main hurdles are a) getting someone to record it (I can't record and hug at the same time) and b) asking people for a hug in a friendly  yet concise way so that they're not confused and walk off before they understand.

If you have thoughts on my ideas, please comment below.

I really want to start this project today. My main issue is problem a). I'm going to a Digital Project workshop in a minute. Maybe I'll find someone there who will follow me around. Or maybe if I leave now and get there early I can start filming me hugging people there.

I really want more hugs! There can never be too many love-filled hugs in the world!
